A wonderful contrast to the bare branches of–was it January? The grapes look fat and full and delicious. As I can’t drink wine, grapes in this form are as good as it gets for me. And they do look as if they’ve reached a peak of perfection.
Some very good vins de pays, but also AOC Coteaux de Languedoc and Pézenas. And from my limited experience, I can confirm that it is back-breaking work to pick them!
I saw the cycle with the few vines my Grandfather babied. You’ve shown us the various stages, from row after row of lifeless stumps in Winter to these vines heavily laden with fruit. Still, I’m amazed whenever I see it. And, the thing is, this is only the beginning. The real miracle, the making of wine, has yet to begin. Amazing!

They’re nice to eat just as they are, but of course most will be made into wine.
Their lowness to the ground reminds of how back breaking the work is. Wonderful looking grapes that hopefully will make a good, honest vin du pays.

I always wanted to pick grapes for the vendange, but I don’t think my back could cope with it now 😉

These look beautiful! By February there may be likesome photos from Down Under! Fruit or wine, both lead to a joyousness in life!
Those are wonderful looking grapes! Good that you took a picture before they are gone for good wine! Do you know what type of grape these are?
